DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY

At Kulik Dental our patient’s health is our priority. That is why we offer digital x-rays. This innovation in dental safety allows dentists to substantially reduce the amount of radiation patients are exposed to compare to conventional dental x-rays. To take the x-ray, a small flexible plate in placed into the patient’s mouth and the picture is taken. The phosphor plate is then fed through a digital x-ray scanner. While being scanned by a laser the image appears on the computer monitor. The computer, than uses enhancement and measurement tools to provide the best diagnosis and patient communication.
